Foundation Initiatives
Celebrating Our Heroes
This year, the Here For Good Foundation Inc is proud to take Hunt for a Hero national—an inspiring initiative designed to celebrate and strengthen the everyday Australians who are making a real difference in their communities.
Whether through quiet acts of kindness, frontline service, or advocacy against domestic and family violence, these individuals are the heartbeat of positive change.
By recognising their efforts, we aim to shine a light on the power of compassion, courage, and community spirit across the country.
Men's Learning Circles
As part of our ongoing commitment to prevention and community engagement, the Here For Good Foundation Inc is launching Men’s Learning Circles in 2025—an initiative designed to create a safe, respectful space for 10 men at a time to come together and explore the challenges of masculinity without judgement.
These facilitated sessions encourage honest reflection, shared learning, and open dialogue, helping participants build healthier perspectives and stronger connections. It’s a meaningful step toward reshaping narratives around masculinity and fostering more compassionate, accountable communities.
SwearTober - Give a *bleep* about FDV and give up cussing for a month
Every October, the Here For Good Foundation Inc leads SwearTober—a bold campaign where participants commit to giving up swearing for the month as a powerful act of solidarity against family and domestic violence.
More than just a personal challenge, SwearTober sparks important conversations about the impact of verbal abuse and the role language plays in shaping respectful, safe environments.
By choosing their words mindfully, participants raise awareness, promote empathy, and stand united in calling out the everyday behaviours that can escalate into harm.

“Words can be weapons.
They wound sometimes more deeply than any fist ever could.”

Volunteer Programs
The Here For Good Foundation Inc was built on the belief that volunteering is not just an act of service—it’s a vital part of living a good and meaningful life.
Through our programs, governance and initiatives, we actively promote the benefits of volunteering across all ages, encouraging people to see giving back as a normal and rewarding part of everyday life.
By creating opportunities for connection, purpose, and community contribution, we’re nurturing a culture where helping others becomes a shared value across generations.
Take the pledge against discrimination
At the Here For Good Foundation Inc, we offer a pledge against all forms of discrimination, recognising that prejudice and inequality create a fertile ground for human rights violations and family and domestic violence. Discrimination—whether based on race, gender, sexuality, ability, or background—undermines dignity and fuels the conditions in which violence and abuse can thrive. By standing firmly against all forms of exclusion, we strive to build a more just, respectful, and safe society for everyone.
This pledge is a call to action—to uphold the rights and humanity of all people, without exception.

“Discrimination, inequality, and harmful social norms are root causes of gender-based violence. Addressing these drivers is essential to preventing violence before it starts.” — UN Women, 2021
